After retiring from the City over ten years ago, with time on my hands, I decided to take up painting.
From a young age, drawing, especially people and portraits has always interested me.
During my career in the City I didn’t get much time to focus on drawing and art, although I enjoyed doing sketches to help with my own children’s art homework while they were growing up at school.
I now work in oil on canvas. I am primarily influenced by the impressionists and Vincent Van Gogh.
Since retiring, I've moved to Brighton with my family and love to paint the landscape around Brighton. I’m particularly inspired by the atmosphere of the city streets, the lanes, the people, the markets, the cafes and the vibrant colours.
